Monitor Individual Circuits in Your Home

The Emporia Vue Expansion Module is a simple device that plugs into Gen 1 Vues and allows you to monitor up to 8 individual circuits in the breaker panel of your home. You’ll be able to see how much energy is being used by important appliances and equipment, like your air conditioner, furnace, water heater, washing machine, clothes dryer, oven/range, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, sump pump, house fan, sub-panel, pool pump, hot tub, or electric vehicle. Expansion Modules are not supported by Gen 2 Vues. The Expansion Module is available now through

How the Vue Expansion Module Works

The Module installs inside your home’s circuit panel and connects directly to a Gen 1 Emporia Vue. The Module can support up to eight 50A current sensors that are easily attached to individual circuit breakers in your electrical panel. The module is powered by it’s connection to the Vue and requires no additional power source. Then, the Module sends energy usage data securely over Wi-Fi to the Vue to the Emporia Cloud where we perform calculations and analysis. The system then sends info and recommendations to the Emporia app on your mobile phone. This will help you determine how much you’re spending on individual loads in your home and see when critical systems are using energy.

True Appliance Monitoring without the Guesswork

Since the Expansion Module connects directly to your circuit breakers, you can be sure that the Vue and the Emporia app are reporting accurate energy use for the appliances and equipment that is important to you. No guesswork. No trying to discern energy signals from background noise. Just simple, easy, and accurate insight into your home. The powerful app makes it easy to register the Module and then name the individual circuits that you have chosen to monitor — so you can easily see how much energy each of these important circuits are using and what it is costing you in real time.
