Texas Utilities

Currently, the Vue: Utility Connect can only connect to AMI Smart Meters through: Ameren in IL, Burlington Electric in VT, First Energy in PA, Green Mountain Power (GMP) in VT, Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) in CA, Pennsylvania Power & Light (PPL) in PA, Southern California Edison (SCE) in CA ($25 rebate available!), and San Diego Gas & Electric (SDGE) in CA

Unfortunately, the Texas public utilities commission have sunset the ability for consumers to connect to their AMI Smart Meters for the entire state. While you may have a ZigBee® enabled Smart Meter, it is unlikely that you will be able to connect  to it with The Emporia Vue Utility Connect. Below is the current status for each of the 4 Transmission and Distribution Service Providers (TDSPs) in Texas.

Centerpoint

As of Dec 8, 2019, Centerpoint no longer supports new device connections. For more information contact han.support@centerpointenergy.com.

Don’t worry, you still have an option!

The original Emporia Vue Whole Home is a great alternative if you can’t connect to an AMI Smart Meter. It installs in nearly any US home with a split-phase 120/240V electrical system. The Vue for circuit panels offers more granular data sampling than the Vue with ZigBee®, it can monitor solar generation and net metering, and it has the ability to monitor up to 8 individual circuits with the addition of the Vue Expansion Module. Check out how the Vue for circuit panels works.

Oncor
